Football Boot Leather

Football boot leather is certainly one of our favourite leathers to procure for clients. Our CEO, Darryl Cassingham, was the Technical Director of the world's largest kangaroo tannery for many years, where he gained insight in to the requirements for the leading sports brands, particularly for football boot leathers.

There are a number of factors to consider in the proper leather selection These stem from the raw material base to be used, such as K-Leather (kangaroo), cow or calf (bovine), etc through to the retannage system and the finishing system that is required. These aspects are all related to the technical specification required for the leather as specified by the brand. Typically there are about 15 different laboratory tests we suggest in order to get the correct football boot leather for you.

Once these are all established, a suitable supplier is chosen and samples produced, a laboratory testing document provided for quality assurance purposes and finally release for sample boots to be made. Upon successful approval in the final product we can then broker the entire purchasing process and ensure our clients are paying a competitive price for a suitable leather.
